New Dad Class

The New Dad Class is a workshop geared toward expectant fathers. Recent dads share their babies with expectant fathers for hands on training.

They will interact with their new baby and demonstrate how to safely hold, comfort, swaddle, play, and give tips on dealing with crying babies.

New Dads will also learn how an educated dad becomes an empowered dad. We discuss ways to support the baby's mother during pregnancy and after birth. Issues discussed include:

  • How to juggle long hours at work and family responsibilities.

  • Can I do anything to help the mother with breast-feeding?

  • What will this mean to my social life?

  • What should I do if I lose it and am about to go beyond the stress point?

Get your confidence for the parent transition stage working with coaches, and facilitator.

24/7 Dad

Developed by fathering and parenting experts, 24/7 Dad® focuses on the characteristics that men need to be involved fathers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This community-based program helps men develop the attitudes, knowledge, and skills they need to get — and stay — involved with their children.

24/7 Dad® focuses on key fathering characteristics — like masculinity, discipline, and work/family balance — and helps men evaluate their own parenting skills, as well as their fathering role models.

 â€‹

A group of  dads go through the workshops that will give them the parenting, relationship, and communication skills they need to be involved, responsible, and committed fathers.

Research shows that a major barrier to father involvement is a lack of skills in dads, many of whom grew up without fathers in their lives. At a time when 1 in 3 children live in father-absent homes, this program can help curb the statistics.
